Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical AI governance frameworks for 2026 technology deployments
- Lead interdisciplinary research teams in identifying bias mitigation strategies for advanced ML systems
- Develop industry standards for AI transparency and accountability through partnerships with IEEE and ACM
- Author white papers and policy recommendations for federal technology committees
- Create ethical risk assessment protocols for autonomous systems and quantum computing applications
- Mentor junior researchers in responsible AI development methodologies
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical considerations into engineering lifecycles
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field with 8+ years of AI ethics experience
- Published research in top-tier venues (NeurIPS, FAccT, Science) on algorithmic fairness
- Expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Framework, and global AI governance landscapes
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional ethical AI initiatives
- Strong background in explainable AI (XAI) and bias detection techniques
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on responsible AI adoption
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethics concepts to technical teams
