Responsibilities
- Convert audio/video recordings to written transcripts with 98%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Format transcripts using style guides (AP, AMA, legal)
- Meet daily production quotas while maintaining quality
- Utilize ExpressScribe and Google Workspace tools
- Collaborate with editors to resolve discrepancies
- Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Qualifications
- 2+ years professional transcription experience
- Minimum 85 WPM typing speed with 99% accuracy
- Familiarity with medical/legal terminology
- Proficiency in transcription software (ExpressScribe, INSCRIBED)
- Fluent English grammar and punctuation mastery
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High-speed internet connection and quiet workspace
- Associate degree or equivalent certification
