Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio/video recordings with 99%+ accuracy across multiple industries
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive client materials
- Meet daily/weekly production quotas while maintaining quality standards
- Format documents according to client specifications (legal/medical/AP style)
- Utilize transcription software and tools efficiently
- Collaborate with editors to resolve unclear audio segments
- Stay current with industry terminology and formatting standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; transcription certification preferred
- Minimum 65 words per minute typing speed with 98% accuracy
- Proficiency in Express Scribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, or similar tools
- Exceptional listening skills for varied accents and technical terminology
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and style guides
- Previous experience in medical/legal transcription a plus
