Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps integrating quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-disciplinary task forces with robotics, space-tech, and neurotech specialists
- Anticipate regulatory and ethical implications of emerging technologies (2026-2030 horizon)
- Architect decentralized infrastructure for next-gen metaverse and neural interface systems
- Secure $50M+ R&D budgets through compelling stakeholder presentations
- Mentor a team of 15 futurists and technology architects
- Publish annual 'State of 2026 Tech' whitepapers influencing industry standards
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with exposure to emerging tech ecosystems
- Proven track record scaling tech initiatives in regulated industries (healthcare/finance)
- Deep expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI safety, or space tech
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent foresight methodology training
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR/STTR preferred)
- Published research in IEEE Nature or peer-reviewed tech journals
- Fluency in at least one quantum programming language (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Clearance for DoD/NASA tech collaboration projects (preferred)
