- Secure partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for R&D
- Present strategic technology forecasts to C-suite and investors
- Mentor junior engineers in future-proof development methodologies
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through compelling business cases
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in emerging tech leadership
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- Proven track record commercializing pre-2020 technologies (e.g., blockchain, generative AI)
- Deep expertise in at least two future domains: quantum, neurotech, or climate tech
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier journals
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and cloud architecture (AWS/Azure)
- Exceptional communication for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
