Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-5 year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with emerging 2026 market trends
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum applications, AI ethics frameworks, climate tech)
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies and assess their commercial viability
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive leadership and investors
- Drive innovation sprints focused on solving 2030 challenges today
- Maintain competitive intelligence through patent analysis and industry research
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching disruptive products or services
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical data
- Strong business acumen with experience in commercializing innovations
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or future trends
- Experience securing R&D funding and managing innovation budgets >$5M
