Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with emerging 2026 trends
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI ethics, quantum algorithms, and climate tech
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with $10M+ commercial potential
- Partner with VCs and startups to build strategic innovation ecosystems
- Present futuristic technology visions to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Drive patent strategy and intellectual property development for frontier technologies
- Lead scenario planning for technological disruption across industries
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging technology commercialization
- Proven track record launching at least two breakthrough technologies to market
- Expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or climate tech domains
- Deep understanding of 2026 technology trends (neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex technological futures
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies preferred
- Experience securing $5M+ in innovation funding or grants
