Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Develop and maintain a 3-5 year technology strategy aligned with business objectives
- Conduct competitive intelligence and market research for disruptive innovations
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate future technologies into roadmaps
- Build and manage external partnerships with research institutions and startups
- Monitor ethical implications and societal impact of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record of developing future-focused technology roadmaps
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., AI, quantum, blockchain)
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business
- Published thought leadership or patents in emerging technologies
- Experience in high-growth tech or Fortune 500 environments
