Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with UN SDGs and market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant security frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in R&D funding through investor pitches and grant applications
- Monitor emerging tech trends (neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology) for competitive advantage
- Design ethical AI governance frameworks compliant with EU AI Act 2026 standards
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Mentor junior researchers in future-sc methodologies and exponential tech adoption
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in emerging technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier-1 journals
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, generative AI ethics, or climate-tech modeling
- Proven track record of scaling technologies from concept to commercial deployment
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and simulation frameworks (Unity/Unreal)
- Security clearance (or ability to obtain) for federal research collaborations
