Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with 2026+ market potential (quantum, AI, biotech, climate tech)
- Develop 5-year technology implementation strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and executive teams
- Analyze regulatory landscapes and ethical implications of new technologies
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board of directors
- Manage R&D budget allocation for experimental technology initiatives
- Partner with venture capital firms to scout acquisition targets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business; PhD preferred
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of scaling emerging technologies from prototype to market
- Deep expertise in at least two future tech domains (quantum, AI, blockchain, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong executive presence with board-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in technology journals or industry forums
