Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors (quantum internet, synthetic biology, neural interfaces)
- Lead cross-functional protathons to validate 2026-use-case hypotheses
- Develop patent-pending frameworks for ethical AI governance and autonomous system alignment
- Present future-tech briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Partner with academic institutions on DARPA/NSF-funded research initiatives
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics with 5+ years industry experience
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-tech proofs-of-concept (quantum algorithms, neuro-interfaces)
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent on emerging tech trends
- Expertise in systems thinking and probabilistic forecasting (Bayesian networks, Monte Carlo simulations)
- Fluency in at least one quantum programming language (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with ethical AI frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Security clearance preferred for government-contract work
