Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with emerging trends in quantum computing and neuromorphic AI
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives to prototype next-gen human-computer interfaces
- Develop ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and AI decision-making processes
- Collaborate with venture partners to commercialize breakthrough technologies
- Present strategic technology forecasts to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ R&D budgets for experimental technology incubation projects
- Author thought leadership publications on the future of human-machine symbiosis
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in future-focused R&D roles
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism from Tier 1 institution
- Published research in quantum algorithms or neuromorphic computing (top-tier conferences)
- Proven track record of commercializing experimental technologies
- Deep expertise in ethical AI governance frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Experience securing federal/state grants for future technology initiatives
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ technologies commercialized in the past decade
