Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) with disruptive potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation labs to prototype and validate futuristic solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Analyze geopolitical, regulatory, and ethical implications of future tech deployments
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs to stay ahead of innovation curves
- Mentor next-gen talent in future-focused technology disciplines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futures research
- Proven track record of launching products/services anticipating future market needs
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, AR/VR, etc.)
- Certification in Futures Studies or Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFCS)
- Exceptional data modeling and scenario planning capabilities
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation journals
- Experience with agile methodologies and rapid prototyping frameworks
