We're seeking a forward-thinking Futurist Technology Strategist to identify emerging trends, develop disruptive innovation roadmaps, and position our organization at the forefront of the next industrial revolution. This role requires a blend of visionary thinking, strategic foresight, and hands-on expertise in cutting-edge technologies.
As a key member of our Innovation Lab, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and global partners to translate future possibilities into actionable business strategies. You'll lead horizon scanning initiatives, scenario planning workshops, and technology adoption assessments that will shape our product portfolio for 2026.
Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) to identify disruptive opportunities for 2026 market dominance
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and industry disruption timelines
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions
- Present strategic foresight reports to executive leadership and board of directors
- Establish partnerships with research institutions, startups, and think tanks
- Design and implement technology adoption frameworks for organizational transformation
- Monitor geopolitical and socioeconomic trends impacting technology evolution
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record in developing technology roadmaps for 2020+ horizons
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging technology domains
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in scenario planning and trend analysis
- Strong presentation skills with executive-level communication abilities
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation publications
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight (e.g., APF, Foresight Practitioner)
