Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 2026 technology strategy roadmap with 18-24 month implementation milestones
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, biotech, AI) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams through agile innovation sprints and prototyping cycles
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board with data-driven ROI projections
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for talent acquisition
- Monitor global tech trends and competitor landscapes to maintain first-mover advantage
- Define KPIs for innovation success and track progress through proprietary analytics platforms
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech or innovation leadership
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with >$50M revenue impact
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AR/VR, neuromorphic systems, or synthetic biology
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with focus on disruptive innovation
- Strong network within Silicon Valley, Austin, or global tech innovation hubs
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., from Institute for the Future)
- Experience securing Series B+ funding for speculative technology ventures
