In this role, you will design the architectural blueprints for our next-generation quantum processing units and scalable classical control systems. You will work at the intersection of physics, software engineering, and systems design to deliver solutions that are not just functional, but revolutionary.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee the end-to-end technical roadmap for the 2026 quantum infrastructure deployment, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
- System Integration: Integrate classical control systems with quantum hardware to create seamless, user-friendly interfaces for researchers and developers.
- Roadmap Execution: Define technical milestones and work closely with R&D teams to ensure the 2026 vision is translated into actionable engineering tasks.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze system bottlenecks and optimize circuit compilation and error mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex quantum concepts into clear technical strategies for investors, government partners, and internal leadership.
- Collaboration: Partner with academic institutions and industry leaders to stay ahead of emerging quantum algorithms and hardware advancements.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in systems architecture, with a specific focus on high-performance computing or quantum computing environments.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python, C++, and experience with quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Hardware Knowledge: Deep understanding of superconducting qubits or photonic quantum computing architectures.
- Strategic Vision: Proven ability to think strategically about long-term technical roadmaps and emerging technologies.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
