- Edit and proofread transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology accuracy
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards and maintain strict confidentiality
- Utilize digital transcription software and electronic health record systems
- Ensure timely completion of daily transcription quotas
- Research and clarify unclear terminology through medical references
- Format documents according to client-specific style guides
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience
- Proficiency with EHR systems and digital transcription software
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology
- Typing speed of 85+ words per minute with 98% accuracy
- Associate's degree in Medical Transcription or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- CompTIA CMT or AHDI certification preferred
