Responsibilities
- Architect hybrid quantum-AI systems for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum neural networks
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum machine learning algorithms
- Translate complex quantum phenomena into scalable software solutions
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D funding through patent generation
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing best practices
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature Physics or IEEE journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum hardware integration with classical systems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum annealing
- Proven track record of leading technical teams in high-stakes R&D environments
- Active DOE QIS or NSF NQPI grant recipient preferred
