Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error-correction protocols achieving 99.9% qubit stability
- Create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Lead R&D for quantum AI algorithms and machine learning integration
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations at 10mK temperatures
- Author patents for quantum encryption and secure communication protocols
- Mentor junior scientists in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper, Qiskit)
- Experience with cryogenic systems and dilution refrigerators
- Proven track record of scaling quantum systems beyond 1000 qubits
- Strong background in quantum machine learning algorithms
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business strategies
- Security clearance preferred for government-funded projects
