Responsibilities
- Architect quantum computing solutions leveraging superconducting qubits and topological error correction
- Lead R&D initiatives for quantum algorithms targeting 2026 industrial applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise-scale deployment
- Secure $10M+ in government grants and private partnerships for quantum research
- Mentor a team of 5+ quantum engineers and research scientists
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and IEEE journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience securing federal grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of quantum-classical integration challenges
- Strong background in cryogenic systems and microwave engineering
