Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for next-gen security systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate and optimize quantum processors
- Create simulation frameworks for quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Lead open-source contributions to Qiskit and PennyLane ecosystems
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware constraints and mitigation strategies
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Security clearance eligibility (active or ability to obtain)
