Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers in prototyping quantum hardware
- Secure $2M+ in government/private research grants through compelling technical proposals
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity frameworks for enterprise clients
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish university partnerships
- Present breakthrough findings at global conferences (Q2C, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing quantum computing breakthroughs
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering or superconducting qubits
- Patent portfolio with 3+ granted quantum computing patents
