Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum methodologies
- Collaborate with AI division to develop hybrid quantum-classical systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Track record of securing $500K+ in research funding
- Expertise in machine learning for quantum state tomography
- Security clearance eligibility for government partnerships
