Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead breakthrough research in error correction and quantum decoherence mitigation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate quantum processor performance
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature Physics, Science, etc.)
- Present research at global quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Secure NSF and DARPA grant funding for experimental projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault tolerance
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum assembly
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants
