Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead research on qubit error correction and quantum decoherence mitigation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop proprietary quantum simulation frameworks for client projects
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and interns
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published record in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra and quantum mechanics fundamentals
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- Ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders
