Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experiments with superconducting qubits and photonic quantum processors
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge quantum software-hardware integration
- Publish high-impact research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design and quantum error correction
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum optics
- Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications
- Experience securing government or industry research grants
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
