Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate on quantum hardware integration with engineering teams
- Lead cross-functional projects with industry partners
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at QIP conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (NSF/DOE grants preferred)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
