Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Lead cross-functional research projects integrating quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DoE grants
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop quantum security protocols for post-2026 infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency with high-performance computing frameworks (HPC, MPI)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
