Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using IBM Q and Rigetti platforms
- Develop error-correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $5M+ in DoE/NSF grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design next-gen quantum processors
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years quantum algorithm development with demonstrated results
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Track record of securing government research funding
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
