Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected quantum computing architectures for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research and contribute to open-source quantum computing libraries
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences/journals
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems theory
