Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical 2026 applications in drug discovery and climate modeling
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing infrastructure
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to solve industry-specific quantum challenges
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at global quantum summits
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 papers)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Track record of translating theoretical quantum concepts into practical implementations
