Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum system stability and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journal
- Mentor PhD candidates and contribute to our quantum education programs
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA and NSF research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and information theory
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical quantum implementations
