Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms leveraging Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum machine learning and optimization
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL) and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in DoE/NSF grants for quantum computing research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Partner with Intel/IBM quantum hardware teams for co-design experiments
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics/Computer Science/Engineering with quantum focus (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, PyQuil)
- Published record in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity classes and BQP theory
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, Amazon Braket)
