Responsibilities
- Monitor live chat conversations in real-time to ensure compliance with community guidelines and brand standards
- Identify and address inappropriate content, harassment, or policy violations with swift, professional interventions
- Respond to user inquiries with accurate information while maintaining a positive and supportive tone
- Document and escalate complex issues requiring specialized attention or legal review
- Collaborate with the moderation team to develop improved protocols and response strategies
- Analyze conversation trends to identify emerging risks or opportunities for community enhancement
- Maintain detailed activity logs and participate in weekly performance review sessions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in moderation or conflict resolution preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, moderation, or community management role
- Exceptional written communication skills with neutral, professional tone
- Ability to remain calm and objective when handling sensitive or high-stress situations
- Proficient in using moderation tools (e.g., ModSquad, Khoros, or similar platforms)
- Must be located in Chula Vista, CA with reliable high-speed internet connection
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask across multiple chat channels
- Available to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends as needed
