Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate live chat conversations across multiple platforms (social media, forums, gaming communities)
- Enforce community guidelines and terms of service with professionalism and impartiality
- Identify and escalate high-risk content (harassment, spam, illegal activity) to senior moderators
- Document moderation actions and maintain detailed case logs for compliance reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve moderation tools and protocols
- Participate in ongoing training on emerging digital threats and platform updates
- Provide exceptional user support during escalated moderation situations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in content moderation, community management, or customer support
- Exceptional written communication skills with flawless grammar and spelling
- Ability to remain objective and professional when handling sensitive content
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with moderation tools (ModSquad, ModTools, or similar platforms)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet home office setup
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
