Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate real-time chat conversations across multiple platforms (social media, forums, gaming)
- Enforce community guidelines with fairness and consistency
- Identify and escalate inappropriate content, harassment, or policy violations
- Document moderation actions and generate weekly performance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve moderation tools
- Train new moderators on platform-specific protocols
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for community safety
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in community moderation or customer service
- Exceptional written communication and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with moderation tools (e.g., ModTools, Khoros)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of digital platform policies and regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
- Available to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
