Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate real-time chat conversations across social media platforms, forums, and live streams
- Enforce community guidelines with fairness and consistency while maintaining positive user experiences
- Identify and report inappropriate content, harassment, or policy violations according to protocols
- Respond to user inquiries with empathy and professionalism within SLA timeframes
- Document moderation actions and provide weekly performance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve community safety initiatives
- Participate in ongoing training on platform updates and moderation best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in content moderation, customer service, or community management
- Exceptional written communication skills with neutral, professional tone
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote setting
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
- Proficient in using moderation tools (e.g., ModSquad, ModTools, or similar)
- Must have reliable high-speed internet and dedicated workspace
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Residency in Honolulu, HI required for timezone alignment
