Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Remote Data Analyst to join our growing team based in Minneapolis, MN. This is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to work from home while contributing to high-impact projects that drive our business strategy.
In this role, you will be the bridge between raw data and actionable business insights. You will leverage your expertise in SQL, Python, and visualization tools to uncover trends, optimize processes, and support executive decision-making. We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about data integrity and storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data models to support ad-hoc analysis and automated reporting.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards in Tableau and Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business objectives into data-driven technical solutions.
- Perform rigorous data cleaning, validation, and transformation tasks using Python or R to ensure high data quality.
- Conduct deep-dive statistical analysis to identify market trends, customer behavior patterns, and operational inefficiencies.
- Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences through reports and presentations.
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot issues to ensure real-time data availability.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server) and experience with window functions.
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation, cleaning, and statistical analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
