As a Remote Friendly Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for converting audio files into clear, readable text formats. If you have a passion for language and the ability to focus for extended periods, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken words into text with high precision.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting standards.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and client-specific style guides.
- Ensure complete confidentiality of sensitive client information and medical data.
- Use transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Zoom) and voice recognition tools effectively.
- Perform periodic quality assurance checks on your own work and assist with peer reviews.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree in English, Communications, or Medical Records preferred.
- Proven experience in transcription or a related field (Medical or General).
- Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with a high accuracy rate (99%+).
- Strong command of the English language, including advanced grammar and spelling.
- Access to high-speed internet and a dedicated, quiet home office environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
