Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken words into written text, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and factual accuracy.
- Follow specific client style guides and formatting instructions for each project.
- Manage file uploads and organize work using transcription software efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with the project management team regarding any audio quality issues.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and data security while handling sensitive client information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in transcription or a strong aptitude for language and attention to detail.
- Excellent listening skills with a minimum typing speed of 60 WPM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe).
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and spelling.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
