Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 Technical Support: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for remote employees, including troubleshooting connectivity, VPN access, and application conflicts.
- Asset Management: Manage the provisioning and configuration of company-provided equipment, including laptops, monitors, and peripherals, ensuring remote setups are optimized.
- Remote Desktop Support: Utilize remote desktop tools to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of technical issues, resolutions, and hardware inventory in the ticketing system.
- User Training: Conduct virtual training sessions and create knowledge base articles to empower users with self-service troubleshooting skills.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security protocols and assist in the deployment of antivirus software and patches to maintain a secure remote work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT Support, Help Desk, or Technical Support roles.
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+).
- Remote Work Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a remote setting with strong time management and communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, VPNs, and remote access tools (TeamViewer, LogMeIn, etc.).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
