In this role, you will be responsible for converting voice-to-text recordings into clear, concise medical reports. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all patient records are maintained with the highest level of confidentiality and precision.
Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe medical reports, including doctor-patient visits, procedures, and history and physicals.
- Proofread and edit transcribed documents to ensure they meet our rigorous quality standards and adhere to medical style guides (e.g., AAMT).
- Manage and organize transcription files within our secure cloud-based platform.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding unclear dictations or specific medical terminology.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and data security protocols at all times.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity and accuracy targets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Previous experience in medical transcription or related administrative role required.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Exceptional typing speed (60+ WPM) and accuracy.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized transcription software.
