Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictations including patient histories, examinations, and procedures
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Format and edit transcriptions to meet client specifications and industry standards
- Utilize digital transcription software and medical terminology databases
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining 98%+ accuracy
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify unclear dictations
- Maintain organized digital records of completed transcriptions
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience
- Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or RHDS credential preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology (anatomy, pharmacology, diagnostics)
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 85 WPM) with 98% accuracy
- Experience with EHR systems and digital transcription platforms
- Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and style guides
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
