Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate real-time chat platforms (Discord, Slack, Twitch) for compliance with community guidelines
- Resolve user disputes with empathy and professionalism while maintaining brand voice
- Develop escalation protocols for sensitive content and crisis situations
- Train junior moderators on platform-specific moderation best practices
- Analyze chat patterns to identify emerging trends and potential risks
- Collaborate with product teams to improve moderation tools and workflows
- Generate weekly moderation reports with actionable insights
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional chat/social media moderation experience
- Expert knowledge of digital platform policies (Twitch, Discord, Reddit)
- Proven conflict resolution skills with high-stakes scenarios
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Strong written communication with flawless grammar and cultural awareness
- Experience with moderation tools (Modbot, Nightbot, etc.)
- Background in psychology, sociology, or related field preferred
- Dallas, TX residency preferred (remote work from home)
