Role Overview:
As a Senior Web Developer, you will take ownership of complex features, mentor junior developers, and ensure our codebase is scalable and secure. You will collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality software that meets strict security and performance standards required for government and enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain robust web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and security protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Washington, DC, to define product requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews, performance testing, and optimization to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate remotely.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) is a plus.
