Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio recordings from medical/legal professionals with 98%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Format documents according to client-specific style guides and templates
- Utilize advanced transcription software and productivity tools efficiently
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality standards
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and consistency
- Communicate proactively with project managers regarding deadlines and issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience (medical/legal preferred)
- Exceptional typing speed (85+ WPM) with 98%+ accuracy
- Proficiency in industry-standard transcription software (ExpressScribe, etc.)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and/or legal documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office setup
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Associate's degree or relevant certification (CMT preferred)
