Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written text using specialized transcription software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and factual accuracy.
- Adhere to strict style guides and formatting requirements for various clients.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all sensitive medical and legal information.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas within a specified turnaround time.
- Research and resolve unclear audio segments to ensure 100% accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a transcriptionist or similar role.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60 WPM).
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar and vocabulary.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a distraction-free home office setup.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe).
