Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken content into written documents using industry-standard software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure high standards of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and factual accuracy.
- Maintain strict patient/client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance guidelines.
- Format documents according to specific client templates and style guides.
- Research and verify unfamiliar medical or legal terminology to ensure precise documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team to resolve complex transcription issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a transcriptionist (Medical or General) with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
- Exceptional typing speed (60+ WPM) with an accuracy rate of 95% or higher.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and sentence structure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
