What You'll Do
As a Remote Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for converting spoken language into written text with the highest level of accuracy. You will handle a variety of medical and legal audio files, ensuring clarity and formatting standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe speech into written text with 99% accuracy.
- Identify and correctly transcribe speaker names, medical terms, and legal jargon.
- Format documents according to client specifications and company style guides.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and flow.
- Manage file uploads and downloads securely within our portal.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity targets and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team regarding unclear audio segments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in transcription, medical terminology, or legal transcription.
- Exceptional typing speed of 65+ WPM with high accuracy.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home workspace.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
