Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio/video recordings across diverse industries (legal, medical, corporate)
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Utilize specialized transcription software for efficient document processing
- Perform quality checks and edit transcripts for grammatical accuracy
- Meet daily/weekly turnaround deadlines while maintaining 98%+ accuracy
- Format documents according to client specifications (legal briefs, medical reports)
- Collaborate with editors to resolve unclear terminology or audio issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven 98%+ accuracy rate with transcription tests
- Proficiency in medical/legal terminology (specialized certification preferred)
- Ability to type 80+ WPM with exceptional grammar/punctuation skills
- Reliable high-speed internet and noise-free remote workspace
- Experience with ExpressScribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking, or similar tools
